On my way home from a conference in Lansing, we stumbled upon this place for lunch. Loved everything. Our waitress was super friendly and prompt. We started with tomato basil soup which she recommended. It was delicious and a very generous portion for a “cup” of soup. We followed it up with the power bowl w/ shrimp and the spicy chicken sandwich. I highly recommend taking a detour to try this place. We will be back!!

First timer at the Block House and glad we decided to give it a try! The building is beautiful and inviting from the front door to the bathrooms. Our server was just the kind of person you hope for, kind and attentive. The menu is on the smaller side but with more excellent and unique choices but looking through their FB page, it appears to change up or have specials chosen by the Chef. We chose the queso appetizer, chicken marsala and the quesadilla. The presentation was very attractive, the kind of food people like to photograph and the flavors of each plate were phenomenal!! We spoke of different restaurants we've been to in Chicago in comparison. Grateful to have a restaurant like this for an option in Gratiot Co.

Went there for breakfast and was able to get right in and seated! Food portions were generous and drinks were excellent. Very clean hipster vibe going on ! highly recommended!

We ate in the alley and they allowed us to bring our pooch. The mural is really cool. We bought 2 smash burgers and a build your own Block Burger. We added the waffle fries, pomme frites, and Ratatouille. Everything was delicious, the servings were large, and the presentation was appealing. The staff was friendly and we weren't ignored even though we chose to sit outside. The prices were reasonable - we had 3 mains, 2 sides, a $6 beer, and a $15 appetizer and after a 22-23% tip we spent $85. There were 3 of us, the average was about $28 each, but we felt the price was right for the quality. We will come back 👍🏻👍🏻

We hosted a company sales & operations meeting at Block House Alma. Emily and team were excellent with communication leading up to the event. The projection vaults and gaming TVs were perfect for presentations and the restaurant seating worked very well to create a relaxed atmosphere. The burgers, chicken tenders, fries, and drinks were excellent and service was top-notch throughout the day. We highly recommend utilizing this space for business meetings in addition to dining and gaming. Excellent value as well!

The atmosphere is very inviting fun and like you’re in the future or something. The menu right off the Bat captivated my attention with at least 4 items of some of my favorite dishes. The food is very well prepared with quality ingredients and tasteful measure. The beer was very close to perfect when it comes to all aspects. The general sanity of the place, glasses and dishes were top notch and I usually have to settle on that subject so again, very grateful for my experience here. I tried the Bolognese which is more like a bolognese ziti. I thought it came out great I added extra Parmesan on mine of course. I washed my delicious food down with a ice cold yuengling and the cream brûlée was amazing as well

We were the first to try the new lunch menu. The food was super good! Their french fries are amazing!! Burgers, wraps and street corn very good... Shout out to the staff.. they were very friendly. We will definitely go back.

We had my son's birthday party at Blockhouse recently with 10 of his friends, and I highly recommend. The nacho bar was a huge hit, and the kids absolutely loved having so many gaming options. Between the consoles and the esports area with PC gaming, there was something for everyone, and they stayed entertained the entire time. Everything ran so smoothly from start to finish. Jordan, our server, was outstanding. He checked in regularly, helped us get the gaming systems set up, answered every question we had, and made sure everything was taken care of so we could actually enjoy the party instead of worrying about the details. It was a 10 out of 10 experience, and we'll definitely be back. Beyond kids' parties, they have creative craft cocktails and really good food. Definitely worth checking out or hosting a party here.

Each part of the meal was FANTASTIC!! From the mocktail and tacos to the mac and cheese and dessert. The food was phenomenal! Our new favorite spot for a date night- we’ll be back!
